    Note for Windows 8 and 10 Users

    If you are on Windows 8, 8.1 or Windows 10, using the included CD, please make sure you install the following driver: "WindowsOld DriverVista_7_8.exe".

    Windows 8 and 10 will still insist on using the newer dated versions available online, so you have to manually choose the "old" one. To do this,

    1. Load up your device manager (Start key + X then M)
    2. Note the Prolific driver with the exclamation mark andright click and choose "Update Driver Software"
    3. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
    4. On the next screen, choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
    5. Choose the 2008 dated driver!
    6. Hit Next, and Windows will use the correct driver and the exclamation mark will disappear.
